Jan Kolias (born 29 December 1988) comes from the North Bohemian town Usti nad Labem in the Czech Republic. His real childhood after the infamous communist era of Czechoslovakia during period when his father moved to North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany and began working half in Germany and in the Czech Republic. Little Jan enjoyed the many gifts from father’s business trips, but one intrigued him the most. Once appeared among gifts keyboard and synthesizer…
After years of experiments with the keyboards and listening to popular electronic music artists, Jan decided himself to do own music composition. The debut album “Movin’ Melodies” of ATB alias André Tanneberger was so inspiring for Jan that he decided in his honor to create own stagename JKL. This idea was a little out of recession at a time when he was not sure whether it will be serious about JKL music.
In 2008, he released his own debut album under the indie label Naked Records aptly named “First Meeting” followed by music jingles, music scores for czech movies.
